How Much Does It Cost to Install a Hot Tub?

How Much Does It Cost to Install a Hot Tub?

Once you have picked out the perfect hot tub model, it’s time to start planning your installation. And, like with any exciting long term investment, there are a few things to consider when beginning your set up. Our customer service team at SpaExpo are thrilled to be with you every step of the way, let’s get started!

What’s my Installation going to Cost?

There really is no cookie cutter answer to this question, as everyone’s set up is different.  A good range to expect is between $157 to $489 with the national average for an above ground hot tub installation being about $315, according to HomeAdvisor.

If you’re planning to install your spa in-ground, such as inside a deck, your installation costs will be about $5,000 to $15,000 with the possibility of additional costs depending on whether or not you run into foundation or construction issues.

A few Things to Consider that Affect Cost

For an above ground hot tub you may need to pour a concrete foundation in your yard which can add to your cost, but is an important requirement for installing your spa. If you’re choosing to put your hot tub indoors, the initial cost and process is the same, except you will need additional ventilation in the room. This not only helps to control the humidity of the room, but keeps the chemical odor from affecting your spa experience. You’ll need to talk to your individual contractor for those estimates.

Hot tubs are a wonderful addition to any home, providing relaxation, hydrotherapeutic benefits, and extra time with friends and family. Our customer service professionals are experts on all things spa related, so swing by our showroom today in Austin and let us help you get your installation process started.
